PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands
one nation, diverse and indivisible,
created and preserved by the love and labor
of indigenous people, slaves and immigrants
for their children and their children’s children
as one nation with freedom to worship,
to love, to marry and to seek
the truth and insist on its telling
and to preserve this fragile earth
with respect, liberty and justice for all.
