ABOUT

Cynthia Sheward was born in Massachusetts but spent much of her early life in New Jersey.  She received a B.A. in English from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She did graduate work at American University, the University of Vermont and Vermont College.  She taught school in Vermont in the 1970s.  In the 1980s, she moved to the mountains of North Carolina where she and her husband built a house with their own hands.  In 1989, she returned to New Jersey to raise her son.  She worked for a Fortune 500 corporation for over 20 years.  In retirement, she has traveled to China, Mongolia, Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim, West Bengal, Norway, Britain and Iceland.

She has written for newspapers, magazines and newsletters. Her poetry has been published in Friends Journal, Evening Street Review, Poets of the Palm Beaches’ Anthologies and on the vietnamwarpoetry.com site.
